Einar
Ísfeld was born and raised in Iceland. He has been in the mountains all his life and began guiding 10 years ago. This has involved rescue work for the FBS
Air Ground Rescue team, winter survival training of the U.S Marine Corps in
Iceland, Greenland and the U.S, approximately 100 ascents of Iceland´s highest
peak, multiple expeditions in Greenland, South America, the U.S and Canada,
dozens of first ascents in Iceland and Greenland, ski guiding in Iceland,
Greenland and in the U.S. He now resides
half the year in Washington States Cascade Mountains with his loving wife and
son pursuing the IFMGA certification through the American Mountain
Guides Association. "I thrive on the energy I get from my guests wherever
we are, I am often asked what my favorite place on earth is and without
hesitation I can say its Iceland with it´s vast glaciers and wild
