Skaftafell tours depart from our sales office by the Skaftafell visitor center.
Skaftafell is located 327km (203 miles) from Reykjavík. The nearest towns to Skaftafell are Kirkjubæjarklaustur, 69km to the west and Höfn, 130km to the east. Our booking center is the gray house with the turf roof.
By Car
To get there by car, drive the main road #1 towards the east from Reykjavík. The drive takes approximately 4 hours. You will see a sign for Skaftafell. Turn into the Skaftafell visitor center and you can find us at the edge of the parking lot in the strawbale house with the turf roof.
By Bus
During the summer season (May 15th- Sept 15th) the quickest way to reach us by bus is by joining our Vatnajökull Voyager trip, the drive takes approximately 4.5 hours and departs from downtown Reykjavik at 7:30.

(Please note that during the winter season bus service is very limited and we do not offer any transportation so we highly recommend renting a car if you would like to get to Skaftafell.)
